Tokyo Olympics 2020
We are delighted to be finishing the job we started last year filming athlete idents for Tokyo 2020... now of course 2021.
It has always been a pleasure working with the International Judo Federation and this year was no exception!
We filmed over 400 athlete idents over 3 shoots, sending us to Paris, Dusseldorf and Budapest.
Unlike Rio, Tokyo wanted the raw footage rather than finished films: clean, graded clips of each athlete for Dentsu to build into their own videos. We shot the Paris Grand Slam and Dusseldorf Grand Prix in early 2020, then finished the job at the Budapest World Championships in 2021 once the pandemic had pushed the Games back. The headshots were used on the video boards at the Nippon Budokan as the athletes came out.
Thanks for all the help and collaboration for the headshots. They were used at the Nippon Budokan videoboards and looked great!!
