Judo For The World
A documentary filmed in Killis - Turkey
Floating Harbour's Ben and Richard travelled to the Turkey-Syria border to document the incredibly important work being done by the International Judo Federation - bringing the sport to children whose lives have been subjected to the traumas resulting from the war.
It was an honour to have been able to make this film and to witness first-hand the difference this programme has made in the lives of hundreds of children.
Working in a war zone was challenging and not without risk; however, this was the stand-out job for us in a packed 2016 - and an experience we will never forget.
The Kilis film grew out of a wider shoot for the IJF's Judo for the World series, following children on the Turkey-Syria border learning judo through the federation's Judo for Peace programme. We worked with Huxley Studios and local crews on the ground, and delivered the finished film together with a short teaser for online use.
It's so exciting that this has been getting so many views so quickly. Our TV partners are also interested in it and asking for it.
