Safety Intervention Films

Floating Harbour collaborated with Petrofac, Impromptu Ltd, and W2 Training to produce a powerful series of safety intervention films. Designed to explore catastrophic workplace incidents, these reconstructions help employees understand and adopt the STEP process (Stop, Think, Evaluate, Proceed) to mitigate day-to-day operational risks.

Filmed as high-impact dramatic reconstructions based on real-life events, the series was designed for global scalability across diverse, multilingual workforces. By highlighting the human consequences of bypassing safety protocols, the films have become a core component of interactive workshops delivered to thousands of employees worldwide. Our expertise in industrial safety film production ensured that these complex scenarios were communicated with clarity and emotional resonance, driving significant behavioral change across this global organistion.

The weld scenario follows a welder about to make a fatal mistake before he stops to think it through; the lift scenario is built around a real crush injury, and Petrofac shared photographs from an actual accident to help get the detail right. Both were shot in 2014, with the cast in Petrofac coveralls and branding so employees would recognise their own site rather than a generic safety video.
