Accounting Excellence Awards

This evening, delighted to win the medium firm of the year. We've had a few near misses with the accounting excellence awards in the past so it's really great to have won awards this evening. Tim really really pleased and really just, they're somewhere in the bar at the moment so we'll track them down shortly and BS been a really great evening. Absolutely insane winning three back-to-back awards and in successive categories.

One award in itself would be you know absolutely supreme but three on the trot. It's sublime but actually it feels, you know we feel absolutely supremely proud for us and for the team so yeah it's incredible absolutely incredible feeling. It all goes so quickly. We felt really confident with our entry this year, we've had a really great year I think it's really important to be clear on the successes and things that you want to share with the rest of the profession.

We did a lot of stuff around people, we've kind of used technology for 10 years, we've been a cloud practice for 10 years and it's really now about what's next, what's the next big innovation. For us it's about the way we work with our people, we introduce something with holiday leave for our team this year, shorter working days so we've taken huge steps to really focus on making sure that we're an appealing place to work and I'm sure that came through in our entry and hence why we were successful this evening. So I think there's a, for someone that might want to apply in future years, there's a few things really to take into account like for us having a very clear vision and strategy are very important and understanding how that may align to one of the categories and really dissecting what the needs and the asks are from the judges in the category and responding to all the questions and kind of really pulling out where you may differentiate yourself from other firms. We'd certainly apply next year if we have something to shout about, if there's something that we do that we think warrants the recognition then absolutely we'll be putting an entry in as well.

We'll definitely apply again I think, won't we? It's supreme, not just for us, you know, a proud achievement, satisfaction of kind of meeting our objectives and our strategy but also it's immense achievement for the team and something to really really celebrate.
