We have shared the film with some of our clients; it’s really moving and we are very proud of it, thank you. Philippa Recchia, Group SHE Director, Severfield plc
Severfield is the UK’s largest structural steel company and a market leader in delivering large, complex engineering projects across commercial, industrial and infrastructure sectors. Their work features in many of the UK’s most recognisable structures, including stadiums, transport hubs and high-rise developments.
Floating Harbour has produced multiple films for Severfield focused on safety culture, behaviour change and leadership. This includes dramatic filming on active construction sites, working in full PPE environments, capturing live steel-erector operations and conducting interviews with site teams and leadership. A major project was the documentary “Impact – Too Close To Call”, created after a night-shift incident where a steel pylon fell through approximately 18 floors of a high-rise building under construction. Although the building was otherwise empty and nobody was injured, the event was a serious near-miss that led Severfield to strengthen safety leadership across the business.
Our role involved filming highly sensitive interviews with people not used to appearing on camera, capturing live on-site footage and shaping a narrative that supported learning and openness.
