Petrofac ECOM (Engineering, Construction, Operations, and Maintenance) introduced a simple process to try and reduce accidents and to make the workforce understand the importance of evaluating risk in their day-to-day work. The films were created to explore catastrophic incidents in the workplace and help delegates understand a straightforward but effective process designed to keep them safe. We made the films as part of a collaboration with Impromptu Ltd. and W2 Training, who also put together the workshops. They are designed to be easy to deliver by in-house staff, in a host of global locations.
These reconstructions were also designed to show a diverse audience who may speak a number of different languages the consequences of not evaluating potential risks. Based on real-life events, the films are part of short, interactive workshops. The films have been used with thousands of employees, and have been highly effective in the communication of the STEP process (Stop, Think, Evaluate, Proceed) and have subsequently been rolled out globally, following their initial success.
