In 2018, we created a short and punchy animated film to explain Bristol University's contextual offer system. It is a great example of our motion graphics and kinetic typography capabilities. The objective of the film was to inspire eligible sixth form students who may not normally apply to a Russell Group university to make Bristol their first choice. As part of the making of this engaging and fun-to-watch film, Floating Harbour ran a focus group with representatives from the target audience to establish what style would be most effective and what content would be most important.

After the success of this, 11 more short animated explainer films were commissioned by the University in 2019 to aid in answering the frequently asked questions of prospective students about the application process. Three of these films are listed here, covering alternative offers, visit days, and what it means to be 'on hold'.
