Global Partnership For Sustainable Development Data

Produced for the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data, hosted by the United Nations Foundation.

The Brief

GPSDD commissioned us to provide comprehensive coverage of their Data for Development Festival in Bristol, a major international gathering focused on how better use of data can help achieve the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, with a particular focus on food poverty. The brief included multi-camera live event filming, live-streaming to the UN's own platform, behind-the-scenes content, and a dedicated interview room to capture keynote speakers and delegates.

The Approach

We deployed a full multi-camera live production setup, live-mixing and streaming sessions throughout the event. Alongside the live coverage, we produced a series of five short films for use at the UN General Assembly (UNGA), working to a two-week turnaround. These films combined animation, motion graphics, archival footage, and poetry voiced by actors, delivered in multiple formats to suit different in-venue screen sizes, from main stage displays to screens positioned in communal spaces at UNGA.

The Result

One of the films we produced opened a plenary session at the UN General Assembly and received spontaneous applause from delegates. The quality and pace of our work led GPSDD to commission us for further projects, extending what began as a single local event into an ongoing international production relationship.
