ZeroAvia welcomed its test bed aircraft in September 2021 and is part of Project HyFlyer, a key element of their wider vision hydrogen-electric engines in the majority of the worlds aircraft.ZeroAvia welcomed its 19-seat test bed aircraft at Cotswold Airport in September 2021, ahead of work to convert the airframe to hydrogen-electric propulsion. Here, Head of Europe Sergey Kiselev describes the importance of this moment and plans for commercialisation of the 19-seat powertrain by 2024. The 19-seat R&D programme at Cotswold Airport is part of Project HyFlyer (supported by the UK Government through the ATI programme), and a key element of ZeroAvia’s wider vision – hydrogen-electric engines in the majority of the world’s aircraft.
