In 2018, we created a short and punchy animated film to explain Bristol University's contextual offer system. It was so successful that the University then commissioned us to make a whole series of animations in the same style to explain many of their processes, answer some of the common questions for new students or help students understand what to expect at certain points in their academic career. These films are a great example of how motion graphics and kinetic typography can make explanations and processes engaging and clear, offering a consistency in style that stays connected to the brand.

How to access postgraduate support and thrive as a student at Bristol. Your health and wellbeing. All schools have student wellbeing advisors. You can talk to them about any wellbeing concerns, and they will help you to find the right support.
Our residential life team are also on hand to support your transition into our institution and to help you find your place in our community. We'll help you access internal and external support, such as counselling, our own student health and GP service, student funding, visa advice, and online self-help resources. We support students with a range of disabilities, learning difficulties, and other health and mental health conditions. You're encouraged to contact us at an early stage to discuss how we can support you if needed.
Our postgraduate community. Our PG network is student-led and seeks to develop a vibrant postgraduate community. There are over 300 clubs and societies which you can join. Our multi-faith chaplaincy is also a thriving, supportive community body and welcomes everyone.
Academic and personal development. All master's students have a personal tutor, and research students have a supervisor who can help with your academic concerns and personal development. The PGR Hub is also available and is dedicated to researcher development and wellbeing. You can also access our careers service to develop skills, networks, and experience.

You'll also attend an academic taster session in your school where you'll have a talk or activity related to your course, meet your future lecturers, our current students and other applicants to the university.
